Here are some tips for overall hair health

Don’t over wash

Washing strips hair of natural oils. For healthier hair, try to limit shampooing to every 2 or 3 days

Drink water

6 – 8 cups of water each day will help keep your hair silky and shiny.

Eat a well balanced diet.

Take a multi-vitamin. Limit sugar, salt and animal fat.

Eat protein

to improve hair strength and prevent breakage and splitting. Fish, meat, milk, cheese and cereal are good protein sources.

Eat vitamin rich foods

like carrots, which are rich in VITAMIN A (good for your scalp) and fruits, veggies, cereal, eggs, milk and bread, which are rich in VITAMINS B and C (important for hair growth, natural color and circulation)

Eat mineral rich foods

like red meat and dark green veggies for IRON (carries oxygen to the hair); meat and seafood for ZINC (to help prevent hair loss); and fresh veggies, nuts, seeds, meat and liver for COPPER (to improve natural hair color)

Limit sun exposure

to prevent oxidation, which can play havoc with your hair color.

Brush gently and don’t over brush.
